Daycare visit
The visit consists of the following:
- Our main transportation then and now;
- Map of Nunavik:
- 14 villages
- 2 Hospitals
- Population.
- Our writing system
- Each child will get a name tag with their name in Inuttitut;
- Nunavik parks;
- Kangiqsualujjuaq in winter and Kangirsujuaq in summer;
- Inuit faces and clothes we wear;
- Some Nunavik animals;
- We tell you about the many uses of Inutsuk;
- We show children what we use to cut what we eat: uluk, savik;
- We ask the children to sing ABC, Brother John in their language
and we sing our alphabet and brother John in Inuttitut;
- We sing other songs in Inuttitut such as: siutiapiikii nivingaagunnapaak,
silalu kataattu, annuraaka uvvatait;
- We give the children Crayola play dough and they will create
what they have seen so far during the visit;
